text

L’dor v’dor, we light our way

L’dor v’dor, we light our way With lessons learned from elders past: A fire held that will someday Be passed to young ones growing fast. L’dor v’dor, we mold the clay, L’dor v’dor v’dor v’dor.

L’dor v’dor, we gather near To share the secrets of our clan With laughter, joy, and words most dear With stories, puns, and jokes deadpan. L’dor v’dor, we spread our cheer, L’dor v’dor v’dor v’dor.

L’dor v’dor, we learn to trust In bonds rebuilt and links newmade: With time our knowing more robust Our understanding ne’er betrayed. L’dor v’dor, we readjust, L’dor v’dor v’dor v’dor.

L’dor v’dor, we celebrate A vim most vibrant, mind most spry, A heart expansive, wit first-rate, A father kept in daughter’s eye. L’dor v’dor, and now we wait L’dor v’dor v’dor v’dor.
