text
A Harbor Safe In Tempest Strong
A harbor safe in tempest strong, You nurture, comfort ev’ry soul; Protecting us from wicked throng, Your light doth lighten God’s true goal: This is the day the Lord hath made, Let us rejoice in ev’ry glade.
A shining sun in blackest gloom, You galvanize the latent spark; As Jesus laid in nascent womb, Messiah to cast out the dark. This is the day the Lord hath made, Let us rejoice in Christ child’s aide.
A mystic saint with Ghost’s great fire, You rouse forth those who’ve lost the way; Inspiring us to never tire, Your spirit stirring all to pray: This is the day the Lord hath made, Let us rejoice, e’er undismayed.
A fervent steward, kindest heart, You served with elegance and grace. You cherished music, ear’s great art, And shared with us God’s warm embrace. This is the day the Lord hath made, Let us remember God’s handmaid.
