text

Wondrous love, this dawn becomes
Original text by the composer.

All gather round, come one, come all,
We see the star, we hear the call.
Wondrous hope, this day foreshows.

All rosy cheeks, all fruited wine,
We drink to mirth, we dress the pine.
Wondrous gift, this night unfurls.

All sleeping now, at old year’s end,
We greet the night as new year’s friend.
Wondrous peace, this dream reveals.

All sound the harp, all strike the chime,
We sing with joy, our voices climb.
Wondrous love, this dawn becomes.
