text

Hear ye, all, ‘neath starry dome

Hear ye, all, ‘neath starry dome, Holy babe, this night is born! Christ child found in manger worn Promise of a love well-come. Blessed God in babe’s frail form, Told for us in ancient tome.

Hear ye, shepherds, ‘sembled low, Still your herds, your night’s affair! Christ child, seed of Joseph’s prayer, Promised yield, still yet to grow. Blessed God in Mary’s care, Sleeps still now, in ev’ning’s glow.

Hear ye, Lords, from distant land, Share your gifts, your gold, your charms! Christ child waits in Mother’s arms, Promised King at God’s right hand. Blessed God, in swaddling garms, Greeting guests from ‘cross the sand.

Hallelujah, shout it thrice, Bells ring out the gladsome sound! Christ child now to Earth is bound, Promised bread of paradise. Blessed God, our hearts entice, Christ as Eucharist is crowned.
