Dominick DiOrio, guest clinician

Christopher Kale, an early music specialist, will lead this part of the workshop that immerses students in the practical side of styles of performance that often seem all too distant. Then, with composer Dominick DiOrio, students will draw inspiration from the old and recontextualize the music in a contemporary voice. Students will leave the workshop having been challenged as performers and analyzers of music. They will also leave with ideas for (and hopefully pieces of) a new composition that they can complete as part of the diploma Internal Assessment requirements. More information.
